Muse Discus Shipping and Refund Policies
At Muse Discus, we are committed to ensuring the safe and timely delivery of your discus fish. Here are the details of our shipping and refund policies:
Packaging:
Your discus will be carefully packaged in styrofoam-lined cardboard boxes with plastic bag liners and heat packs as needed. Each fish is quadruple-bagged to maintain the optimal air-to-water ratio. For larger orders, a second box may be required to ensure the comfort of the livestock and the integrity of the packaging material, which may incur an additional shipping charge.
Shipping Costs:
• Nationwide: $120 flat rate
• California: $80 flat rate
A single box can accommodate:
• 8-10 large discus
• 12-16 medium discus
• 20-25 small discus
Shipping Methods:
• Overnight Shipping: We utilize UPS Next Day Air for prompt delivery.
• 1-Week Hold: Orders are shipped Monday through Wednesday. Your discus will undergo a one-week conditioning period before shipping to ensure their well-being.
Restocking Fee:
A 25% restocking fee applies to canceled orders. This fee accounts for the removal of fish from the market and their unavailability to other customers.
Live Arrival Guarantee:
We take great care in quarantining and monitoring all new shipments to ensure their health. If any discus arrive DOA (dead on arrival), you are eligible for a full refund (minus shipping charges) or a credit toward your next shipment.
To claim the live arrival guarantee, please:
1. Take a video of the DOA discus in water.
2. Email the video to musediscus@gmail.com.
Important: To qualify for the live arrival guarantee, you must be present to receive your fish. Packages missed on the first delivery attempt or picked up after the original delivery date are not covered. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
